2008 Citi 1.4i Fish Bite

Post by Shravan »

Hi Guys,

I have a 2008 Tenaciti 1.4i. It starts to fish bite under acceleration but only when the fuel is below half a tank. We have did service, changed coil, leads, plugs, cleaned out tank and the mesh on the fuel pump but it is still doing the same thing. It has been for diagnostics but supposedly nothing was found to be wrong.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? Any solutions?

Did you check that the rubber where fuel pump fit is sealing and is not cracked? Was fuel pump ressure tested?

Fuel pump was not pressure tested. And which rubber are you referring to?
The car is only doing around 66k mileage so not sure whether its being under-used. :bwahaha:
