Hi guys
Need some help please.
2.0 8v (ADY) with Dicktator.
So yesterday my car just died on me. After some fault finding, I can confirm that spark is present.
When I turn on the ignition, the fuel pump is supplying fuel through the line, but I dont hear it priming.
If I crimp the return line, the car will start and rev although not very clean, but its drivable.
Iv gone through some of the posts on the forum, and the symptons indicate either a broken valve on fuel rail or inadequate fuel pressure.
So first I need to check the fuel pressure - is there anyone in the westrand/roodepoort area that can help?
Secondly, how will I know if the fuel rail is indeed damaged?
Please guys. Thanks

Re: 2.0 ADY Fuel Issue
Pull the clip out that holds the fule pressure regulator on the end of the line. Pull the regulator out and check the centre tube. if it is loose or came out with the FPR then the rail is shot. But 99% sure you can just go and get one and replace it. Your fault finding basically already nailed the cause.

Re: 2.0 ADY Fuel Issue
hey guys
Just an update:
So I removed the clip and the centre tube came out with the FPR. You can see that centre tube has physically broken off.
This is my first attempt at removing the fuel rail, so let me know if im on the right path here:
1. remove inlet & return fuel pipes on the side
2. undo injector plugs
3. remove plastic cover mounted on the rail
4. remove allen key bolts (2) that mounts into the inlet
5.?
6.?
Thanks
