Urgent help needed Golf 2.0l ady conversion no start

Post by Wolfman04 »

Bought a 2.0l ady import engine for my vw citi golf Engine rotates difficult feels like its working against its compression or has high compression.
When I tried to crank the engine my starter cables will get hot and there will come smoke out of them. I tried higher amp battery and it will drain it in a few secs.
When I take the spark plugs out it rotates easily no problem.
Timing marks align perfectly
Compression test results is 11 7 11 11
What can be the cause of this?

If 11 7 11 11 represents the compression for each cylinder take if back to the place where you purchased it. Compression should be within 1-2 bar from each other abd not lower than 9,5.

Sounds like the timing is too far advanced. The low compression is another issue.
