Hi Guys
i have been having a problem with my Amarok,
basically it was parked for a while ( probably 2 or 3 weeks )
now when i drive it and i get to a small incline and the vehicle is under load , the " GLOW PLUG LIGHT " flashes and vehicle goes into " LIMP MODE "
i have connected my OD2 plug to it when this happens but it does not pick up any error code,
i have plugged a normal scanner in it still no error
i first thought that is was cause it was due for a service but i have done the service and it still persists
the exhaust has a leak which i am going to try and sort out today
please advise if anyone has had this problem or could advise as to what i need to do

Check all your boost pipes, you may have a leak. My Amarok had the same symptoms for a boost leak.

I know some PD TDI's had that issue related to a faulty vacuum control box, not sure if a similar issue.
Also have heard of fuel related cuts when the fuel filter is dirty, the incline may be causing a blockage perhaps, maybe worth checking.
You can also browse the Volkswagen section of the 4x4community forum as well, you may find an answer there whilst you waiting.

Re: 2011 Amarok 2L TDI
i have done the service on it, changed all filters, just waiting for a gap at the exhaust shop, they say the manifold is leaking, which could be the cause, and abit of a mission to sort out so they will need the bakkie for a few days, so im hopping for it to go in on monday to fix the leak, and im praying its just a faulty manifold gasket and not a crack in the manifold, will update as soon as i know, maybe it will help someone in the future
