1.9tdi Intake Actual Pressure

Post by Keegan1.9tdi »

Hi there.

I have a 1.9tdi sportline with a Stage1 Map and straight pipe, I might be exaggerating or a bit to extra. When I checked vcds the Actual Intake Pressure is less than the Specified and when I checked my friends values with the exact same mods his Actual Intake pressure is the same as the Specified. Is this something to worry about? See link for my values

Most likely a boost leak somewhere, Unless the specified boost is to high for the turbo to reach, But doubt that

Hi Keegan , the actual and specified wont always be spot on as long s it doesn't deviate to much , also you need to run logs while driving the car under full load lets say from 2000 - 4000 rpm then look at the values.

Hi G-spot, I am busy trying to make me a smoke leak tester to make sure that there isn't any leaks that that the eye can't see. I had a vacuum leak to the turbo actuator but that is fixed.

Hi Mark, this is log in chart format https://hosting.photobucket.com/images/ ... &crop=fill.
And this is the log in excel https://hosting.photobucket.com/images/ ... &crop=fill

According to the logs your actual pressure is higher than the specified values. But figures thats the wrong way around.

Check for leaks

you should be able to find it quite easily, It should have some oil residue built up around the leak area

Check the join between the boost pipes and intercooler. A common leaky area
