Buying advice - 2020 VW Polo 1.5 TDI

Post by Abominable_Snowman »

Hi guys

Anyone have experience with the 1.5 TDI's? Any common issues?

I found a clean one with 37 000km on the clock still under warranty for a decent price.

Gonna have a look at it today.

Are these 1.5 TDI's reliable or should I stay away?

Had to quickly go and do a google search about these cars as i didn't know that VW has changed motors to a 1.5 tdi.

My advise would be to make sure that all services have been carried out and checks out.

Then go ahead and buy it as it is still a fresh car.

Thanks Unobeat, I appreciate it. I took a look at the car, it was clear that it has some work done, too many paint defects for my liking. Aside from that, mechanically it seems to have a few issues which I know will cost me a bit later on.

Long story short, I've decided to walk away.

Thanks for your advice though, I appreciate it
