Hi all...have jetta 06 auto tdi Bkd engine-Jus over 200k kms on it; recently changed the dmf and car functioned relatively ok but felt I could get more out of it so had a decat done...barely few hours of drivin later on, car went into limp mode, wont bypass 100km/hr, engine cheklight is on with "check engine light" plus "engine fault workshop" mesage...to make maters worse, the emisions warning goes off as wel. Switched off the car fo a few mins, tried to start it agan same mesages except now requirs long cranking before starting, whch trigered flashing glow plugs
Vcds shows fault p0322, engine speed sensor; but other forums talk about "purge valve" being damaged...has anyone experienced this-was it the decat or sensor thags causin al this...
ANY HELP PLEASE!!!

Re: Tdi Engine fault workshop and emisions garage
so why would you ignore the crank sensor code that vcds shows you. in measuring blocks can you see rpm during cranking that is stable at around 180 to 220 rpm. if not then you have a dead crank sensor.
