Hi Guys I am new to this so please be patient with me ,I have a golf4 tdi ahf highline 74kw which has a couple of problems in it my key fob does not work with remote , my consumption is high at idle its 1.4l/h and I have seen others do 0.5l/h please help .

How many hours a day do you let it idle that that bothers you?
Most people judge consumption on km per liter or liters per 100km.
Did you change the battery in the remote? It might have to be reset to work with the car.
Dealer or somebody with vcds could help with that.

When starting the engine cold, the consumption is much higher, to compensate for condensation losses. My AHF also indicates about 1.2 to 1.3 L/h when cold. But this decreases rapidly as the engine warms up.

All AHF engines is 81 KW according to me. When engine is hot it should idle at 0.5 l/hr
