Hi
Can anyone provide info on decatting the 2010 caddy 1.9tdi (bxe engine)
Is it possible to do a straight cut and weld or does the whole pipe have to be removed and replaced.
Not looking for heavy modding performance, just want that sweet sound and better efficiency. (will do stage 1 at a later stage. decatting just seems cheap for now)
Thanks

Does decatting make a diesel sound better?

Re: Caddy 1.9 TDI decat
Decatting will do little or nothing for the exhaust sound.
Mufflerectomy will be needed for that.
Complete rear silencer is removed and replaced with a straight piece of pipe.
Did that ages ago on my Caddy and it sounds OK from inside. No idea what it sounds like outside, might have to take a vid to hear it. But other people say it sounds good.

Re: Caddy 1.9 TDI decat
I believe it adds a bit of turbo whistle, but sound isn’t a big deal. I just want the efficiency that it provides, sound or no sound
