9n3 TDI “whistling” sound

Hi gents,

I’m at the point of setting this car on fire as this stupid whistling noise is getting unbarable.

The car has no loss of power or acceleration, but at certain revs it makes this ridiculous whistling noise. The noise goed away as soon as the car is not in gear, noise also comes and goes so it’s not a constant thing.

The cat has been removed mufflerectomy done and ECU flashes. Has about 175k on the clock.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Did you check for boost leaks ?...

+1 boost leak, can be the inter cooler also, you'll need to figure out from which area of the engine bay the noise is coming from.
