Hi Guys
Hope someone can assist me. First i would like to know who is the go 2 guy in cape town for VW clutch and electrical problems.
In short:
Bought 2010 Jetta 1,6 tdi with 88 000km from dealer. on 100 000km the injectors needs replacement. R60 000 later car was good again. Not long after that light came on, went in limp mode and needed the change the DPF. Went to SAC, they removed it completely and modified software so light was dead.
Went for service at Malmesbury volkswagen, they plugged in their computer and boom engine light and glow plug light on. They told me they cant switch off the light i need to take it back to SAC. After back and forth i went to SAC again. They also cant seem to fix it.
Car is definitely heavier on diesel, pulls fine.
Second thing is clutch makes a noise when pushing in and out, when its out its silent. I assume its a release bearing. Do you guys have any idea what those units cost to replace?
Hope to hear from you guys soon

Re: Jetta 1.6 TDI - Clutch & Electronics
Do you know when / if the clutch was last replaced?
Could be that you need to replace the clutch. They are fairly affordable but a real crapper to install.
Labour is usually much more expensive than the actual clutch kit.
