Hey bro, might be worth looking at Power Brake uprated Discs and EBC pads?

Powerbrake if they have stock of what you need. @Roadhawg fitted a set of matched pads and disks to his MkIV Jetta years ago and it was night and day compared to the stock setup.

Did this exercise beginning of the year and cost is exorbitant when compared to stock replacement brakes i.e. vw economy, Goldwagen, Masterparts etc...
but the difference is day and night as said above.

add Vari treated discs to your options as well.

Do you need more stopping power or just need to replace worn brake pads & discs?

Huge, Double in some cases. Note these are Cape Town prices and for 288mm Front disc/pads on the polo.

VW Economy Parts - 650 Pads , 650 per disc
Midas - 950 Ferodo pads , 750 per disc Ferodo
Goldwagen - 500 Pads , 350 per disc(motopart) or 550 per disc Surebrake
Goldwagen Delarey - 2400(pair) drilled/slotted discs(not sure which make it was)
Powerbrake - 750 Mintex Pads or 1800 EBC Yellow , 3100(pair) powerbrake disc - excludes courier
Vari - 1900 EBC Yellow , 2600(pair) Vari Heat treated (j hooked) disc + 399 Courier to cpt
Formula Friction - 4000(Pair) EBC Dimple/drilled disc - excludes courier

Whereas a decent OEM replacement parts would cost around 2k to replace the front, an upgrade 4k upwards

2008 VW POLO GTI - 76mm DP + 63mm exhaust , induction, FMIC, Thanas Tuned
