The turbo was repaired before the DPF was removed.

Is the P2563 FAULT code caused by the DPF that was removed? There isn't vacuum on the actuator. The N75 valve has been replaced. Still looks like the N75 is not switching on. If I put vacuum manually on the turbo actuator then the actuator moves.

Sigh. Any ideas? Any one with a similar problem?

Hi, Did you get your car sorted? I have exactly the same problem..

Car still not sorted. Driving around in limp mode. Dont know where to get a actuator or actuator sensor. Only after that is fixed will I get the ECU remapped.

Hey guys... Guess what.... same SH$%^&IT different VW owner...
2011 model been serviced and repaired only by VW, and only by 1 branch of VW... 90k service done yesterday, car has 68k on the clock... get the phone call this morning, turbo is gone, but they are checking and will confirm. an hour later, another call, "we're in luck, its not the turbo, the turbo is working hunky-dory!.... BUT the diesel particulate filter is gone, its because we have very poor diesel quality in South Africa...

you know the rest.... R37k later... "

Very Sorry Sir"...

very sorry we sold you a car in South Africa that is diesel, knowing your quality of diesel will most probably cause these issues....

BLAH BLAH BLAH...

so, long story short... I kinda read through your thread here... cutting to the chase, what is the best route to follow?

Who do we support to assist us in the dilemma? I am based in Cape Town so SACS is an option for me, are there any others?

I thank you and I promise to keep everyone up to date with the outcome

Cheers

I also asked the same question.......why is it that Toyota DPFs don't give issues at all.......why so many issues with VW DPFs......

Hi Guys. I have the same problem. Just want to know if it is possible to remove the dpf and cut it open and remove the stuff inside causing the restriction. Weld it close and fit back, not touching the sensor. Will it work. Have someone did it before. Thank any information will be helpful.

Hi Guys, new to forum and my first post. Have exactly the same problem with my 1.2tdi. Thought this problem could be from too much oil in engine as after last service oil level was way above dipstick mark. Thought it would eventually burn away which it did not and from time to time exhaust and glow plug warning lights would come on. It reset when engine was switched off and on again. Then one day i happened to take something from the boot and noticed the floor panel above the rear silencer was extremely hot. Man, that silencer was so hot it sizzled if you put a wet finger to it. I also noticed the coolant fan came on after about 1.5km from a cold start. Took the car to exhaust shop who said the DPF is blocked and they cut it open and removed all the insides and closed it again. The hot rear silencer still the same and today all the lights came on and its in limp mode.
Any advice would be appreciated as I have no idea what could or should be done. Parked the car and wont use it till I can get more info on this.
I am in King Williams Town, Eastern Cape.

Did the warning light come on just after they remove the inside of the dpf or couple of days after. Just want some clarity. I wanted to do that?

No the light came on before. I think it was because of the high oil level which I ignored. But light stayed on after removing the inside of the DPF. Im doing only town driving, not even more than 4km at a time. Also my driving style is very old ballie like.
I have spend a lot of time on dr Google yesterday and what I can gather from what they say is the following;
1. constant town driving will cause a lot of carbon soot build up in EGR and intake manifold.
2. Fuel consumption will be affected due to carbon build up.
3. Direct injection diesel engines are prone to carbon build up and should be de-carbon from time to time.
My 1.2 Polo now has 203k on the clock and from the service history cant pick up that it was ever decarboned. When the inside of the DPF was removed I didnt notice any soot or blockage, but cant really say if it was blocked or not. I know too little about these things.
What I did pick up from the google search is that the EGR should be cleaned every x amount of kilometres, especially when the mileage gets to a high number. It is also recommended that if you do regular short distance driving ie town driving, to take the car for a good highway drive to burn off carbon. Still stuff I have to read more about.
My concern now is that 3 lights show, exhaust, glow plug and engine, and I need to find out the reason for that. If i get more info i will post here.
Hope i can get this sorted asap but will not drive it till it is fixed.
Maybe we have a VW tech member that can provide more details on this.
