boost pipe 1.9tdi S/L

Post by Scotty_88 »

hey guys, my car developed a slight boost leak. Got under the car and looked around and noticed a pipe which is not seated tight.
could see the previous owner attempted to do a quick fix. the pipe runs from the turbo into the metal pancake pipe, could someone help identify it or part number?may find a used one off other guys whom did Fmic. Thanks

Excuse pic quality(had no space)

The best is to change it to stainless steel or alluimnin and only have 4 joins 1 at the turbo to the intercooler and from the intercooler to the inlet manifold.Image

The lower 90 degree bend was on its way out with the ears on the couplings being worn away slowly giving lots of sweating and movement and boost leaks. Replaced the two couplings with billet aluminium ones and a 90degree silicone bend. The ears are solid so minimal to no wear or breakage. It cost cost leas than half what vw would charge .

I think that is what boostd was referring to as better than stock . Contact dubcorp, rob makes up the couplings.
