What products to use

Hi guys

Need some advice please?

I would like to treat my Tiguan with a nice polish.

I have small hair line scratches and swirl marks on the car.

I have Mcguaires polish and the scratch 2.0 but I can't seem to get the swirls and hairline scratches out.

The applicator I use is the small yellow applicator I got with the polish. And I buff off with a MF cloth more than one I use.

I don't have the luxury of using a polishing machine so everything is elbow grease.

Unfortunately you not going to remove swirls and scratches completely using elbow grease alone, and machine detailing is not too easy to get right, but very easy to get wrong and screw up your paint even further.

You can look at contacting a detailer in your area to do some paint correction, but that is quite expensive.

BUT, if you send your car to the corner car wash, it's going to be money down the drain, as 1 wash using improper wash techniques will just instill new swirls and scratches.

If you are keen on learning how to do things yourself, read these 2 threads from start to finish and then read it again.

There are also many products on the market that will "fill" or "hide" some minor paint defects.

If you looking for supplies, I can recommend Crazy detailer. Their prices are good and the products and services are also up there.

But technique is a lot more important than product. not that you should do a 2 bucket method with sunlight liquid...
