Glass

Post by Sean Trollope »

Hi guys. I'm incredibly frustrated. I've spent the entire afternoon trying to get an oily/streaky layer off the inside of all the glass in my car. It has been absolute hell and I've gotten nowhere. I gave up on cloths thinking that was my problem and turned to paper towels(have used a lot of them) I've used water. Windowlean. Just paper.

How do I get rid of this stuff.

One thing that always works for me to get an oily residue of a window is newspaper, take one sheet and squash it then wipe the window. Works for me hopefully it works for you.

Methylated spirits, Meguiars Perfect Clarity window cleaner and two soft microfibre towels.
Wipe with one cloth and meths, then again with cloth and Megs.

I do it twice a week to the Caddy's windows, inside and out and it cleans them 100% and does not damage the window tinting either.
A bottle of Megs last me about 6-7 months and costs about R200 from Builders Warehouse.

Or you can try Autoglym fast glass and then glass polish after that with microfiber towels. works for me, you can get it at crazy detailer.
