RedBull Renault Megane Detailed & Coated by CCD
First of all, sorry for not posting updates in a while ( couple of months to be honest ). I don't always have the time to sit down and work through all the pics and then to do a write up worthy of reading for y'all
Oky let's get down to business. I detailed Filipe's Megane for the first time in November '15. Instead of waiting 12 months for his annual topup detail, he booked the car in for a detail and Kamikaze ISM Ceramic Coating in August ( after seeing pics of my personal car coated with ISM ). The car hadn't been maintained the way it should have been since it's detail with me, although 90% of the damage visible was wash marring that can normally be corrected easily without having to take away too much clearcoat.
Please don't kill me as I don't have any "before" or "during" pics of this car. Filipe dropped it off a day late and backed up my entire schedule so I had to work overtime to get through my week which in turn caused me not to waste time on taking pics of everything I did on the car aswell as the other cars I did that week
Process:
Wash
- Wheels & Arches cleaned with APC, Valet Pro Bilberry wheel cleaner, various brushes & HP washer
- Paintwork had been foamed with HP washer & TurtleWax Snowfoam
- Hand washed using 2BM & Sonax Shampoo
- Dried with Ryobi leaf blower, QD & Drying towel
Decontamination
- QD & Fine grade clay
Paint Correction
- Compounded with Menz FG400 on Orange cutting pads
- Polished with Menz SF4000 on Green polishing pads
Thereafter the entire car had been wiped down with GTechniq Panel Wipe to ensure a 100% clean surface. After that it was time to break-out the Kamikaze ISM. All the surfaces had been coated with ISM, wheels & exhaust tip had been coated with Feynlab Hyperseal afterwards.
I took a pic after the coating had been applied:
Thereafter the car had been locked in the garage for around 37 hours ( I know only about 24 hours needed but like mentioned Filipe put me behind schedule before the detail started so I had to get through other work )
About 12 hours after the coating and still busy curing, in true Kamikaze fashion ( Streaks everywhere )
After 37 hours of hibernation, I took the car out of the garage and gave it it's very first wash ( rinse, foam, rinse & dried with overcoat ). Thereafter the tires had been dressed and I took the car to a mate's house for pictures. As always, none of the pics had been edited, all are cell shots, taken with my iPhone 6+
Now, the pics you have been waiting for, out in direct sunlight
Please note that the following pics are NSFW

I believe he will bud. I sat down with him and helped him order all the necessary products to maintain it properly. Last week he spoke with me before washing just to make sure he had correct dilution ratios for everything etc, and he again spoke wit me afterwards telling me what a breeze it was with the coating aswell as having all the correct products and tools for the tasklawrence wrote:Nice work bud - really hope the owner looks after it this time around.
