During last week I ordered some things from Diamondworx detailing and this was delivered on Friday evening.
If you need any products that is sold by Crazy detailer, and live in the East rand or surrounding areas, give them a shout
I've been wanting to try out a few de-ironisers for a while, because I've seen good & bad.
For this review, I put Auto finesse Iron out up against Carchem revolt
Before:
Steps followed:
- HP rinse
- Sprayed undiluted APC onto the wheels & left to dwell
- Agitated with a brush
- HP rinsed again
- Sprayed APC again & agitated again
- HP rinsed
- De-ironiser applied & agitated
- HP rinsed
Sprayed one wheel with AF Iron out & agitated with a brush
Sprayed one wheel with Carchem Revolt, agitated with a brush
After:
AF Iron out
Carchem Revolt
Did a 50/50 comparison on the face of the wheel of both in action after application & left to dwell for 4 minutes
Left - Carchem revolt
Right - Auto Finesse iron out
You can see for yourself, the AF iron out is lacking massively compared to the Carchem Revolt.
The AF viscosity is very watery and runs away quickly, whereas the CC has a thicker viscosity which allows it to dwell a little longer.
I also used more AF than I did CC because of its viscosity.
Keep in mind these wheels were absolutely filthy, and the could do with a 2nd pass of Iron out to get them perfect, and followed up with a tar remover(But that's a test for another day)

Re: Product/s review
Nice test, the results of which correlate to the testing I have done on these products, and at the price point Revolt is really hard to beat.
Thanks for documenting and sharing!

If it is documented, it takes away the "Your opinion" argument. It is shown in pictures and the results speak for themselves.lawrence wrote:Nice test, the results of which correlate to the testing I have done on these products, and at the price point Revolt is really hard to beat.

I have used the Gyeon Iron, which has yielded even better results from my experience, so maybe I can do a review on that too in comparison

Re: Product/s review
Been a while since I did a little review here
DNA wheel creme
The good:
- Cheap as chips compared to other wheel waxes/creams
- Application is easy and buffing off is a breeze
- Shine to the wheel after application is pretty damn good
- Simple packaging, just big enough to not have you have a tub for 3 years and product drying out
- a Little goes a LONG way
- Does exactly what it is supposed to do
The not so good:
- Was expecting to see some serious water beading like a normal wax, but that's my expectation as per a normal wax, not the product promising me it. So it is my preconceived perception that failed.
Where it failed:
I can see no fault in it
Closing:
- Below I have posted a picture of its performance. The wheel in the pic was coated about 2 months ago. It has since gotten about 4 washes since then, the last one being 3 weeks ago, and by simply spraying the wheel with a high pressure washer almost completely cleaned it, with me just having to give it a quick wipe with a wash mitt & rinse off.
- Speaking to a few guys about the product, they are just as stoked & surprised by its performance with only one other product they would use, but purely for the reason of saying "I applied *Insert expensive internationally known product here* on my wheels"
I give it a 9/10
You can find the product here, and you can compare it to other wheel waxes for a comparison in pricing & performance.
