if u choose to, u can programme your car to run without the MAF, there has been a MK4 with Dictator and the guy only installed that so that he could run a BOV on he setup, so either they programme it that the MAF dont have to opperate in the OEM way but still does the basic, or they programme it out completely.

IIRC he used 1 for fueling and the other for timing or something like that.

Revo for timing and dicktator for fuelling.

I want to ask the guys that did put this kit on their cars, did your cars fuel economy improve or get worse?
The lower you go, the more you break.

Not sure if this has been covered in here or not, but this appears to be a relatively new product. What are peoples opinions:

Hi

I finally got my hands on a Forge DV Splitter. one of the newer ones that has about a 90 / 10 split.

I wanted to know what is the best way to setup one of these DV's, there are about 46 or 48 spring settings on the DV, My car has been re-mapped with EDS software, as far as i'm aware the boost is up there by 1.2 bar, i have never actualy attached a Boost guage but this is what the tuner told me. it's hitting about 153kw @ 4579rpm with 368nm @ 3244rpm.

Is there an easy way to setup the spring correctly or should i rather just hook it up and take a trip to the guy i had it mapped with?

Im boosting 1.0 bar and mine is set on 24 clicks and is 100% so if u turn yours to about 26-28 clicks it should be fine, when its to tight u gonna hear a funny chirp noise coming from it.

Cool thanks for the info:)

What are the pros and cons of the spring setting. ie: if it's too hard this will happen and if it's too soft this will happen? is it possible if the DV is not setup right you can lose boost?

last dumb question - the vacum pipe - does this feed information back to the ECU? what is it purpose?
