This is a neat trick this oke did! Must be a tuff job to do...

The guy took a digital boost gauge (auto meter R395 from autostyle) took it apart and installed it in the rev counter side of the clocks!

Its a worthwhile conversion and it has a clean look!

Soft touch rubber

Post by MK4 GTI 20VT »

Is the soft touch rubber pealing off on the interior???

The safest way to remove it is to use a soft rag and some 70% rubbing alcohol! Avalible from any pharmacy for about R10!

Please note: Do not use a sharp object to scrape as it may look like its working but when the alcohol dries marks will become visible!

MK5 wipers for your MK4

Post by MK4 GTI 20VT »

Goldwagen now stocks the blade type wiper to fit your MK4! Looks good and works alot better than the normal type plus you get a clean euro look!

R225 gets you a set!

I orderd a set and will post the part number soon!

OMG - that is SO trick...

Anyone tried this or found a how-to?
Sometimes, we need to remind ourselves of the simplicities of life - you only need two tools: Duct tape and WD-40. If doesn't move and it should - use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does - use the duct tape.

Sorry for the late reply! Forgot about this thread

Well the guys from GW was talking crap about the direct replacment aero wipers for the mk4, you only get that oversized piece of plastic that you clip onto the wiper arm and a universal aero type blade clips onto. Looks utter crap IMHO.

What I did was this: (no pics, sorry)

Bought a set of wiper arms of a pre-face lift polo, took these and removed the piece that the blade fits on, you will see that its bent around the wiper arm. Its a biatch to remove! Once you bent it open and got it of do the same with your stock wiper arms. You have to use some pratly steel to make sure the aero wiper fittings stick to the stock arms!

Then go get yourself some polo wiper and then its done! It is a big job to do but it looks 10timer beter than the stock blades!

If you want to see a pic of the aero wipers, go to my rides theard, My 02' MK4 GTI!

Cheers

Yes I did try it out but didnt get far cos my dog bumped the alcohol over and didnt get a chance to get more and finish the whole interoir.

It does work but you must have a bit of time on your hands cos it does take long to get it perfectly clean! Looks awesome when its done!!!

Going to try to finish the rest of it asap!
