F30 320d Uber Service’s

Post by Rascal69 »

Last week a guy contacted me and asked if we could assist with the following on one of his working cars, an F30 Bmw 320d which he runs as an Uber.

He mentioned that he has owned the car for a year now and in that time it’s done 70000kms . He use to take the vehicle to another mechanic but stopped going to him and contacted me instead due to trust issues with that guy.

So we arranged for him to drop the car off and we got to work.

We start off by making sure the battery is charged enough to run diagnostics without damaging any electronics

Running diagnostics
Image

First round showed some issues
Image

Some stores error codes
Image

After we finished diagnostics the tree was green again and there were no stored errors.
Image

Next up, we got the service items ready
Image

For a car that’s been getting serviced regularly, this filter looks nasty . Guess this is what he meant when he said he had trust issues with the previous mechanic

Hectic

Oil filter

Factory instructions

New vs old fuel filter

Marked the new filter and installed it

Pollen filter also in such a state

Filled oil

Checked level

Inspected underneath, suspension, mounts, bushes, gearbox, diff, drive line
Image

And then we were done. Owner collected and was very chuffed with the service.

Tjo tjo
That Air, Cabin and Oil filter were in a distasteful condition, JEEEEZZZ

Outstanding work carried out and i am sure drivers so much better and the aircon is cooler too.
I Have an itch for these cars, currently doing some research on them.

Wonder what year is this car?
