Introduction to Digit

Post by Digit Riaan »

Hi guys and girls

I’m a Iong-time forum member (formerly known as porno_ster) and own a Digit distributor. One of the main reasons for investing in this business is because I’m a car guy, like all of you. We do vehicle tracking, fleet and diesel management. What sets us apart is the personal service we offer. As my client you talk directly to me or my branch manager, either by WhatsApp, email or phone call, any time. We do not have frustrating call centers. We cater for individuals and businesses and all our products are VSS & insurance approved. The group have been going for ten years and have over 30,000 units on the road. We have almost 100 distributors in South Africa and can accommodate you in most areas. I own Digit Bloemfontein, but reside in Johannesburg, so I personally look after the Gauteng area.

If you really love your car, like I do, and want to do your best to prevent it from being stolen and stripped to pieces, Digit is for you. Talk to me for a custom solution to make your beloved car as hard as possible to steal.

Some of the features we have are (system dependant):
• DLock – Receive a notification on your phone if a vehicle moves after the position was locked by the by you on our cell phone.
• DCut – Immobilise a vehicle with a SMS (by user/owner) if vehicle is stolen/hi-jacked.
• Dash tamper notification – an warning SMS is sent when a vehicle’s dash is being stripped.
• DJam – Tracking unit can detect jamming and immobilise the vehicle if DCut is installed.
• Please call me (panic) button – send a message and google maps link to three user-defined cell phone numbers.

We can also offer tagging (driver identification for fleets), temperature monitoring, etc.

Our other products and services include diesel level monitoring and reporting (with theft notifications) as well as mobile digital video cameras, which are very useful tools to have in business these days. I will create separate posts for them. We specialise in effective fleet management for businesses big or small.

Prices for the basic unit start at R349 once-off and R159/month (excl VAT) for full GPS & GSM tracking with online trip reports & cell phone app, including stolen recovery, with no contract. There are also 36 month rent-to-own options available.

Would like to hear from guys that have used it. It does not quite seem like there is a system that the criminals do not know how to override.

Hello

Given enough time any system can be defeated. Digit's strategy is to warn you as soon as possible that something might be happening to your car and give you tools to deal with it. We put a lot of development and resources into the prevention of total loss, rather than the recovery.

I hope this helps. Feel free to contact me if you need more info.

I can naturally not divulge everything as this is a public forum and some information should stay secure.

Great business!

Maybe there's an opportunity for us to access stolen vehicle data from you, we already offer SAPS theft status check on all vehicles in SA. Will be in touch.
