Mk6 Polo (AW) speaker upgrade

Hi,

Has anyone upgrade the door speakers without adding an amp? If so, has the sound quality improved?

Really disappointed with the factory sound.

Must be something wrong with your factory speakers bcos they normally sound very nice, or maybe our preferences are different, I have someone that fitted a split system in their polo and it improved drastically, you will not go wrong if you fit speakers in there that are being run through an amplifier

Even running standard speakers off an amp will help. I did so with my Golf and the results are not bad at all.
