Hi Guys
I am attempting to do a small sound install on a polo sedan 2015 model(not vivo model). I have a starsound powered sub which im attempting to install. Im looking for a ground spot in boot and closest i could find is seatbelt bolt. I want to find out what tool do i need to remove that bolt? I googled abit and see that it maybe a hex or spline bolt. Not too sure. I have standard tools like ratchet but not sure bolt to use.

They use spline bits.
You can buy kits of spline bits at Builders Warehouse or any decent car spares place. Or you can buy them as single bits.

Please, Don't ever use a seat belt bolt, its a safety critical item.Builder21 wrote:Hi Guys

Imagine your child, wife or your mother is using that belt and has to rely on it to survive, would you trust it with some copper wire squashed under it?
Look a little further like near the taillamps for a factory earth point, or make your own one with a nut and bolt somewhere on a non structural bit of metal.

Re: Tool needed to remove seatbelt bolt
I know the bits as triple square. Is that a US thing? or are they similar but different bits?

Thanks, they look like a triple square bits I know. Perhaps it's the shape of the points that are different.
