2009 Polo 9N 1.9TDi 96kw

Post by theo1970 »

Hi Guys...
Hope everyone is well. I'm new to the forum hoping I can get some help.

Firstly my 2009 Polo 1.9 Tdi has started giving me a problem regarding the power steering, engine management light and the ac.
The drives well no issues. The power steering light comes on and the steering gets alittle hard but not totally dead.

The power steering light comes on occasionally and when it's on the ac wont work. At times the engine and power steering light goes off.

Please help me ...

Have you checked/topped up the power steering fluid? It's reservoir is located under the battery

Doesn't the 9N have electrical power steering?

In which case I'd go looking for an intermittent voltage problem, starting with the fuses on top of the battery.

Good call. I've replaced a number of them because they crack under the nuts that hold them down.

We are talking about the big fuses on top of the battery.
