Car overheating

Post by Mantice »

Good day, I have a 2012 polo 1.6 DSG and it has been showing overheating sign for the past year or so. I have taken it to the first mechanic and he changed the thermostat and air heater, but that did not solve the problem the second mechanic changed the water pump and the air heater but still same problem. I went to the second mechanic and we realised that the air heater was becoming a weak spot for water to escape and we bypassed it. I drive for quite sometime now but it has started again. When I put antifreeze the problem goes and for sometime and cones back. Now I am out of options because the other guy told me it might be the top gasket and I don't want to believe him... Please help oh... and when it came back from the first mechanic the heater was not working and it still doesn't work

Well if the heater is disconnected, its obviously not gonna give u hot air.

Find a new mechanic who knows what they doing. Post ur location so some1 can advise u

When a car tailgates me, i slow down - then floor it and give them a cloud of diesel smoke to choke on :driving:
