Polo Bah 2003

Post by JakesPolo »

Good day people. Can somebody give me advise please. I have a 2003 polo bah classic. Replaced main crank seal 3 times and still leaking.
Anyone had this issue before?
TIA

Have you checked for end float on the crank?

Hi thanks. I also spoke to someone else and they said i must rather install the genuine v.w. seal instead of the aftermarket seals i bought from
goldwagen, alert and tricor. Is that true. Will this resolve the issue. Everything new. No play on the crank and all in spec. Mechanic said it is possible that the engineering guys polished the lip that the seal seals on and thats where the oil seeps through,so will the genuine seal eliminate this issue.
Thank You
