Afternoon,
My mom had a 1300 Beetle and 411 Variant with which she took us all South Africa on annual vacation. I bought a new Jetta in 1983 which I traded in on a Citi Golf 1.6 Chicco in 1997. (23 years old this year)
Since oil passed by the valve stem seals my son and his friend under advice from a qualified VW mechanic overhauled the whole engine. The engine pulls and sounds very nice.
The engine oil is new and full. However the oil pressure light comes on when I start the car and about a minute or two later the buzzer. What could be wrong since the engine is newly overhauled? Advice would be appreciated.
VW regards,
Michael.
