VW Up ignition switch removal

Post by John C »

Good day all.
I am a newby to this group as of today.
Looking forward to sharing info with you all.
Our family 2015 Take up which has only done 6000 kms suddenly had 3 simutaneous electrical failures. No blower fan,no rear wiper and no 12volt socket (cigarette lighter). All the info I have gained points to a faulty ignition switch.

Has anyone relpaced the ignition switch on this vehicle and what is the procedure for getting to the switch?

Random issues like that could have also resulted from a low battery... Before stripping, double check that your battery is flat

Hi, much appreciate your reply. The battery is 100%. Problem must be ignition switch.

Have you checked fuses?

They might share a common fuse/relay.
