Possible Dubrun dates

Post by DieterMK5 »

Hey guys and girls

Before I get started, PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL CONFIRMATION OF DATES.

Many people have been asking for DubRun dates this year and I’ll like to hear some feedback from you, the people of the club.

The public holiday this year falls on Tuesday the 16th June. At the club AGM in November, it was voted that Dubrun would take place on Saturday the 13th, to return to Jhb on the 16th June.

Some people have expressed their opinion that they would prefer to leave on Friday morning the 12th June instead of the Saturday morning.

Your feedback is welcomed

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL CONFIRMATION OF DATES, many factors could alter the dates so please wait for official event banner for confirmation.

Much Love

I agree we leave on the 12th and then it's 2 days leave and n long ass weekend. It's usually a mad rush when coming back on the Sunday to get everything ready for the week

Dubrun is a failing event IMO. It needs to be revitalised from the ground up.

Do you or any other members have any suggestions that the committee could discuss? After all, Dubrun is for the members and we want everyone to enjoy it as much as possible.

The VW Club has always welcomed everyone, no matter what brand of car you drive, or if you are a member of the club or not.

Dubrun is for everyone, paid up members of the club or not. Obviously the club undertakes costs involved like booking fees for tracks, dyno days etc.

That’s why the club offers Dubrun packs, which has some really cool Merch in it, as well as gives the club some money back toward the above costs. The less “unpaid Dubrun participants” the tighter the clubs budget becomes.

I do need to stress that we love to have anyone with any car at any of our events, but unfortunately these events cost money so similar to the above statement, less paid up vw club members equals less events/smaller events throughout the Calendar year.
