Hey guys and girls

Our next installment of VKC is here!

Pre-registration is limited to 60 cars. Pay your pre-reg, sign the indemnity form, and bring your car to the track for a day of epic fun.

Please note that we are not racing karts around the track, you’ll be racing your own car against the clock. Five cars will be on the track at once, with intervals in when they set off so as to avoid traffic.
In and out laps will let you get the most out of your hot laps and allow you to get to know the tight, technical course before you punch it.

What’s the point of building that epic machine in the garage, or having that stock ol’girl, but nowhere to put it through its passes

Cost (including timing):

Club members: R450 per driver, per car

Non-members: R550 per driver, per car

Spectators are free and more than welcome!

If you would like to take more than one car around, you will be required to pay another registration. The same applies if you would like to drive another participant’s car – another registration is required.

Time:

30th August from 08:00 – 16:00. We will have a drivers’ briefing at 8:30 and then begin promptly at 9am

Outside food and beverages are not permitted into the VKC premises, so please bring a little extra to take advantage of the restaurant on site, card facilities are available.

We are expecting a lot of Michelin Cup competitors to join us and use the event as practice, so don’t delay and register ASAP.

Last year this was on a Sunday. This year it is a Saturday. I dunno if I will make this one cause I work Saturdays. :( But will try.

I guess the reason for making it Saturday is fair cause of the F1 Festival on the following day.

That’s unfortunate, however it’s definitely worth it to put in a days leave Image

Unfortunately we were at the mercy of track availability

Would anyone like some fuel additive for the event? It’s possible that the club can accommodate. If so, please let me know here

It will be great to hear and see you tear up the track again this year.

Same applies for Wikus and his updated Caddy

We will be there in #caddy96

There are so many Mk1 golfs and caddy's out there that want to take me on, on the street. Here is a chance come and play with us on track at VKC.

This is a friendly challenge and by no means do i think i'm the best, I just want more guys to get on track and off the street

The guys that wanna take you on have a lot to learn about taking corners on a track too. They definitely won't have your experience. Straight line racing anyone can do.

I dont think it'll see more than the 100 people the Pres mentioned, but even if so everyone should just remain in their cars to not spread their germs :-)

The VW Club Committee would like to inform everyone we are currently in discussions over the VKC event, as well as possible future events concerning the growing severity of the COVID-19 virus.

There will be communication going out to each registrant informing them of the committees conclusion this afternoon.
