dynob day
heyhey
yeah was a good dyno day!!
snail conversions did a good job to//:)
oh and vw club thanx for having your event at us hope we have many more!!
another thing i want to clear up..
the reason the jetta popped off the dyno is because after riaan finished the run the car popped back into traction control..
riaan ran all the other automatics the same way with no problem..
it was a bit bad for the jetta driver but unfortunately we can not do anything about it!! IT HAPPENED
he did sign the form and we had a warning sign by the dyno!!
but we know we are not liable!!
all is good though!!
we are having another dyno day soon though..well 3 months or so..
and we are having a paintball day this sunday ..
and a go-carting day on 1st july!!
cool guys
enjoy ur day

Well, he did sign an indemnity form. Which absolves Snail Convertions from the accident
It's an unfortunate situation, but thems the breaks.
Basically in signing the indemnity, he took his car on the dyno at his own risk

It was very unfortunate what happened, and I'm not really sure why or how it happened, but I really can't see how traction control had anything to do with it. It really is a pity as it was a great day and I enjoyed seeing all the other VW Club guys and galsEX-DOHCTOR wrote:Well, he did sign an indemnity form. Yes he did sign the indemnity, and as far as I can see, Snail Conversions is not entirely liable. Still can't see how you can take the car onto the dyno 'at your own risk', where you have no control whatsoever over the process. Something to remember is that blanket covers saying 'we can't be held responsible whatsoever', etc, etc, will rarely hold up in court if there is a serious accident, etc.
Stu, I hope you and your Dad can get things sorted out, and well done to Craig for trying to assist with things.
P.S. Guys, this is just my take on things, I am in no way saying that Snail Conversions is responsible. I was there when other automatics/DSG cars were run and they went perfectly. I think that it was an unfortunate accident, but after all is said and done, it was a great day, and was run very well by both Snl Conversions and Craig and the other VW Club members.

It's because he had no control over the process that there was a risk
Hence, if he decided to go ahead and put the car on the dyno, despite not being in control - he put it on at his own risk.
