Dyno Day - 11 June 2006

We will be holding a Dyno day At Snail Conversions in Honeydew. Food and beverages will be on sale.

Cost : R50 members / R70 non-members

Venue: Snail Conversions, Honeydew

Directions :
number 8
5 star business units
beyers naude drive
honeydew

then take beyers naude off ramp.
turn right to go towards the dome!
then its your eighth or seventh robot turn right.
street is called juice street.
you will see the big ecar sign and flags on top of the building that is us!
so right off beyers, then right into juice, then right into the boom gate and follow road then right into 5 star business units!!

For once...a dyno day close to where I live...

might come through for a boerie roll or two :)

And depending which car I'm driving on the day, I might put it on the rollers to see how much less power than the Clio it makes. hahaha :lol:

I would preffer inertia runs.

As the airflow to the car is not the same as on the road - holding a turbo car on the rollers on high boost on a load setup - waiting for the power to stabelize - takes for ever, the oil and water temp shoots up and very easy to hurt the motor.

Plus - inertia runs are allot faster that load runs so you will be able to push through more cars than with the load setup .....

I think it's time to put a standard Polo TDI on the rollers and clear up standard versus REVO/Dimsport/FRC :!:

tell me....is there a 4wd dyno as well? i have a quattro Audi i want to test :wink:

i missed the Audi Club dyno so i had no chance to put me car on the dyno. R70 for non-members is not bad...

Yes, they have a 4WD dyno as well. It will cost you R100 for that.

There will be a project big screen with the F1 Grand Prix on as well, so you don't need to worry about missing that.

hm... only saw this event now, my car is going in for a dyno tune today with the new vernier pully on it... last time i got 84 hp atw, lets see what i can get with a tuned pully on my cam!!! :)

I'll be there with my friends that own a tiburon and the other guy a slowpel :P
