Album from Club Photographer is in the link above...

When XS Promotions approached the Club a few months ago to put together a line-up of cars for display at Gymkhana Grid, we could not give up the opportunity to host another invite-only #MyCarGotShot park-off.

Last year’s park-off at GRiD was insane. Two days, over 100 epic JHB cars, and a motorsport event to remember!

This year, the action was contained to one day, and in our opinion, this made every race so much more exciting, as the eliminations came thick and fast.

We marketed the event on all our social media channels, and the response was overwhelming! Daily drivers and show cars from all over the province and even as far away as KZN entered for the opportunity to park with, and watch, racing royalty.

With cars being parked inside the event’s borders, space was at a premium and we unfortunately had to say no to a number of top quality cars - we simply couldn’t fit in any more by the time the Friday night deadline arrived.

Some drivers dropped out due to unforeseen circumstances, but we still managed to cram in over a hundred beautiful cars - from Wolfsburg to Tokyo!

Considering the large variety of cars at our disposal, we focused most of our parking arrangement on Volkswagens (because they’re the best) and show goers entered the event looking at a display of around fifty of our favourite VW’s, but we still managed to include a Rocket Bunny S14, a couple of Skylines, a few RX-7’s, and much more. We literally took over the event. The VWCSA presence was clearly visible from almost every corner of #GymkhanaGRiD!

If you weren’t able to come through, check out our coverage as seen from behind the lens of our official photographer Dylan Shaw Photography. The man worked tirelessly to get a shot of every car we had on on display!

Like, share, tag the owners, and #tellyourfriends!

Keep an eye on our social media outlets as we gear up for our first event of 2019, Puppies in the Park, and if you’re going away, travel safe and enjoy the time off with family and friends!

Peace.

What an awesome event with a range of different cars and people for the epic park off. Some can be glad now to see some photos but perhaps sad for missing out. Was lekker seeing everyone again and so happy to be apart of this club
