It seems that callouts are quite popular at the moment, so who’s racing whom?

Convoy Details:

The Club Committee invite you to join us as we head out to Redstar Raceway bright and early tomorrow morning. As we need to be there at 7am to ensure everything is ready for the crowds when they arrive, we are leaving Meadowdale Mall parking at 6:15am sharp.

Yes its early, and yes, its EARLY, but feel free to join the comm as we drive out to Redstar.

Drivers Briefing at 9:00am, racing starts at 9:30am.

See you all tomorrow :)

Dear VWCSA Admin

This was one of the worst events i have ever been to. Your team did NOT deliver an event, it should have been advertised as a show & shine instead, with a possibility of some racing in the day.
It seemed to be about "rich kids" showing off their shiny toys rather than a car race event. there was NO MOOD, NO ATMOSPHERE, and NO VIBE.

Seriously disappointing; the next time the club wants to have an event on this nature, rather only invite select individuals & not the public cos the Club did NOT bring the A Game to this event.

Please consider other tracks that have the facilities like timing & start off lights etc, IF you want it to be like street outlaws etc.

PLEASE, your team needs to recover from this really bad event of today.

Unahppy & dissatisfied VW patron,

Regards

@jazmine

I am Terribly sorry to hear about your experience at our Run What you Brung event at Redstar.

That’s definitely not what we were hoping for. :(

Thank you for your suggestions, we will discuss this at our next meeting and we hope that we can improve on your experience with the Club at our next event.

As always
Yours in VW,

Ian

Really disagree with this comment. Was an epic event with all the facilities we expected from a great race track. Thanks VWClubSA for a great day.

Have to agree with Key own. Event was well planned. You cannot hold comm accountable for people not racing. They marketed well and made a massive effort. Also there were alot of other events happening that could have hampered the turnout. Also, personally i liked the Street outlaws vibe

I agree with Uvy and Kione. The club can't be blamed for the rest of the members lack of attendance. The event was well organized and the idea was top class! Not to mention the epic facilities at Redstar Raceway.
not sure why people didn't participate but that's their loss. Props to the team for staying out there till the very last of us were finished racing :hurray:

and Jazmine, FYI - Street Outlaws doesn't have timing, so not sure what you mean regarding getting timing equipment to be like them.
