2. Television Coverage - VW Challenge @ Wesbank Raceway:
If anyone is interested, the JHB Challenge race held on the weekend of the 8th and 9th at Wesbank, is gonna be televised. The schedule is listed below.
Wesbank Raceway ran races on BOTH Saturday and Sunday!!!! The Challenge races were split one on Sat and the other on Sun. Makes for a VERY long race weekend. But an interesting experiment non the less as this is a common feature of races in Europe and the States.
Get this, the VW Challenge had 38 starters for the first race, it's not a typo, 38!!! Apparently it was raining on the Sat and there was a huge accident in race one, requiring that a driver get evacuated to hospital, that was the end of there Sat racing and they ended up doing both heats on the Sun.
Anyways, tune in at any of the times listed below to see there racing......

3. Club Mykonos Gymkhana details :
* from Patrick Vermaak - Attached please find the Supplementary Regulations - Entry Forms and Accommodation Options for the 17th Hyperformance Club Mykonos Resort and Casino Langebaan Gymkhana as planned for Saturday 13 May 2006. The earlier you confirm your entry, the more pre event exposure you stand to gain.
Important Notice: Minimum MSA licence requirement for 2006 - Every driver and navigator to take out a minimum of a Club Competition Licence at a cost of R100. For more details contact us at 083 701 8116 or respond to patrickv@imaginet.co.za for more information.
No medical examination is required though and an application has been made to sell these at documentation. An announcement will be made as soon as possible regarding the sale of licences.
The good news is that Hyperformance Camshaft Specialists remain on board with Club Mykonos Resorts and Casino Mykonos as well as Richelieu - thus the three event status will be retained for 2006. Various options to further enhance the events for the benefit of both competitors and spectators are currently being evaluated.
* from GTi Club - I'd personally like to thank Patrick for the tireless work he has done over the past few months with regard to the finalisation of the MSA requirement for this event. Red tape had threatened to end this popular and well supported event, but Patrick stuck to his guns and made sure that the event remains on the calendar. On behalf of all the GTi Club competitors, a huge "thank you" :)

4. Gymkhana series details :
The GTi Club is a long time supporter of the WBMK organised gymkhana's and it's great to see a complete series of events planned for the year. I have included the details, below, so that you're able to plan your life around these important dates. As you can see there are a number of "away" events planned for the year. As with the past events in Oudshoorn, when the GTi Club members taking part, made a weekend away of the event. It is an ideal opportunity for a break with the family and socialising with fellow competitors and club members. I for one remember meeting some of the GTi Club's "ou manne" this way, the atmosphere and camaraderie was awesome. We will chat at the next club meeting about organising a possible weekend away at one or more of these events.

The calendar for 2006 includes the following events:
1 CCMCC 08 April - Vanguard Gymkhana - Alternate date to be announced soon!
2 WBMK 13 May - 17th Hyperformance Club Mykonos Resort & Casino Langebaan Gymkhana
