Eh...

That is not a very scenic or enjoyable route between those two points. If you're starting in sea-point it would make sense to go along past camps bay, around Hout bay and through Chapmans (if you're already spending money on petrol and food, just pay the R35 toll), then through Noordhoek to Kommetjie and then Slangkop lighthouse and Imhoff and then home past Cape Point and Simons Town. This involves many more twisties.

Agreed current route isn't very scenic.

This might be better (Without Tolls)

and is only 8km and 20min longer.

You will pay all or most of that extra R35 driving around the toll though, worthwhile to just go through.

Anyways I'm keen!

That is a good point, but the drive from the M3 is still a great drive and is enjoyable and is also relatively scenic.
We felt that if we went through Hout bay and Chappies most guys would want to stop off there for some quick pics. That would just essentially mean we arrive at Imhoff late and almost in time for Lunch. Better have a nice short run so that guys can still spend some time with family outside of the run

BUT! We do have plans to hit Chappies soon.
We plan on doing at least something once a month.

Hopefully we can get a fairly decent turnout for the first event.

The weather also doesn't look too bad, albeit a really early prediction; let's hope it stays clear or even gets warmer.

Also just pay attention to the local news, there have been service delivery / protests blocking the road(s) into and out of Kommetjie. However the protests seem only to happen on weekdays :)

Might pop through for the morning meet, as I have an appointment for tattoo at 10am.....
