Any help?

Post by KevinPeters »

Apologies if this is the wrong section. I've got a 2015 Amarok 2.0TDI auto with 174,000 km. Recently, the front right wheel started jumping with a rumbling noise as I speed up. VW dealer says the front right wheel bearing is worn, quoting R4000 for two bearings and R2000 for labor. Should I change both front wheel bearings as suggested, or just the worn side? What's the typical lifespan of these bearings, and does changing only one compromise safety? Thanks!

Have you considered seeking a second opinion from a VAG Spec Centre outlet regarding the front right wheel bearing issue on your 2015 Amarok, especially given the significant cost involved in the VW dealer's quote?
