I'd like some advice, if anyone is willing to give it:

It doesn't look like a shockingly long stretch, but is anyone doing any out-of-the-ordinary prep? Brake fluid or pads?

I've always reduced tyre pressures to about 1.8. Stock pads and fluid is fine. Semi slicks also works wonders.

With a proper lap time. :driving:

A cold semi is still better than a cold normal tyre.

Interesting. I assumed I would need to increase tire pressure to prevent general deflection.

Why do you say reduce? To accommodate for higher temps and therefore higher pressures?

Pressures do increase a little bit, but not a lot. A "lap" is only between 46-60 seconds. Every tyre has arrows on the outside, the idea is that you use the whole tyre tread up to the arrow line. Generally the recommended pressures are too hard and mostly for everyday use for better fuel consumption, comfort etc.

By reducing it, the tyre is a more flexible and thus has better grip. The only way to know the pressure is correct is to do a hard lap and then see on the tyre where it flexed to. If it's close to the arrow then reduce it a bit more, if over the arrow it's running on the side wall so then pressure must be increased.
