Re: VWCSA Presents: Krugersdorp HillClimb 2019
It was live streamed on ILEB, but I know they were having difficulty with the wind which was affecting their broadcast. Their Facebook page should have recorded videos of everything thoughGTiDon wrote:Hello, I could not find any live streaming of the track cameras, was anything recorded to be posted later?

Epic day out yesterday. Thank you Com for running this event and allowing us to enjoy it. #caddy96 1st in class fwd NA and 13th overall with a 47.7 sec run. Very chuffed with that as it almost 5 sec faster than last year

Re: VWCSA Presents: Krugersdorp HillClimb 2019
Thank you to everyone who raced with us on Sunday - it was an absolute blast, and your enthusiasm and love for motorsport and events like this in particular are the only reason we can do this. The camaraderie and competition were palpable all along the pit lane, and seeing some uncommon vehicles was a treat - maybe next year we can have a category for classics exclusively, who knows?
We're especially happy that everyone who raced up the hill was able to drive home safely.
A huge thank you also to RaceDay for covering the event live on Facebook - we know it wasn't easy and you had some difficulties with the wind and so on, but we appreciate everything you've done to help make this event happen. Head over to their page to see the day's events and driver interviews!
Wat Swaai Jy? and Ink Monkey Creative Factory - thank you for displaying some stunning metal and for all your assistance in the build-up to Sunday too!
To everyone who came through just to watch, thank you too. Your support and excitement are contagious and we love the joy that we see out there!
MYLAPS Speedhive kept our timing processes strict and accessible to everyone throughout the day - thank you and we look forward to next year! Full results can found here:
https://speedhive.mylaps.com/Sessions/5623148
There is also a tab for results by class, and a chart to measure performance throughout the day, Gerardo being one of the stand-out competitors in terms of consistency, while Oom Wikus blew us all away a by being both entertaining and ridiculously fast. Others started off timidly and then went full send as the day went on and confidence improved - always exciting to see.
Kyalami Marshals, thank you for keeping us safe and working in the hot sun surrounded by the unique aromas of the venue - you are the unsung heroes of events like these and we truly appreciate it.
A word of thanks to our food vendor too - thank you for coming out Desiree - and Gau-Med for providing medical support.
Mogale City officials and officers, particularly Bryan, thank you for allowing us to put this event on once again, and guiding us through the processes with your advice - it's hugely appreciated.
Our sponsors - Maverick Generators, Delarey Racing Developments, Powerflow Exhausts Midrand, and KARP Performance - thank you for your generous contributions - without your help, these events would be almost impossible to put on.
To everyone who came through just to watch, thank you too. Your support and excitement are contagious and we love the joy that we see out there.
We have our final event of the year confirmed for Saturday the 30th of November - a breakfast run from Tasha's in Bedfordview to Gas Monkey Pub & Grill in Vanderbijlpark, where we will also hold our annual general meeting which all are welcome to attend. This is where we debate the events that are sticking around for 2020, which we should take off the calendar, which we should add. The status of the club and a recap of the year's events and goings-on will also be summarised, and a new committee will be voted in, as well as a new chairman to take over for the next calendar year. We will post the event details and artwork within the next week or two (October's possibilities are still to be confirmed, although at this point it appears that we may have to skip an event this month due to non-committal from certain parties).
Once again, thank you for all the love, criticism, and support from everyone - we look forward to an even better 2020 with you!
