If you write where are you based, then the forum could recommend someone.
Thanks VAG Fan. I am based in Roodepoort, Gauteng. I have been googling and found the http://www.vagspeccentre.co.za/ . They specialise in Audi, VW and SEAT. Anyone else that can assist me. Please let me know.

Thanks

well sadly these days it's all about the computer stuff. If you can't do that or manage it you are falling behind and will soon be just fixing people's old tractors.

It appears that they no longer differentiate between CAN and non-CAN interfaces, as they used to. Nowadays all interfaces are fully compatible (which I suppose is a bonus for regular professional users). The only differences appear to be
... whether the interface connects to the external device via USB-only or has additional wireless capability
... whether it's limited to a certain number of VINs

Either way, the courier costs are going to be the least of one's worries.
