Polo 6R gti Heavy on fuel

Post by Theo R »

Sup guys,
So my polo 6r Gti is gone stupid heavy on fuel. Car was flashed back to stock software a year ago, so only have a 76mm to 63mm dp. I sold my daily, so started using the polo as a daily. Did a scan and no faults came up. Obc shows 7.0l/100km ( freeway drive) @ 120kph, but my fuel gauge says otherwise. Any idea what could be the prob? Would it be ok to fill a bottle on injector cleaner the nextime i fill up fuel?

Thanks

So tank to tank, what is consumption.
How many kilos you getting on a tank once filled up?

Bottom quarter or top quarter?
Because my audi will give me 350km the top quarter and 50km the bottom quarter.

Fuel consumption can ONLY be measured tank to tank to determine fuel consumption.

Both sides top n bottom. Will try and do logs next week.it could be the o2 sensor, from what i have been reading on the net. @amstel, full tank of fuel, i get around 400km. Depends on how much in-town driving i do. Avr in town is around between 9l/100km to around 10l/100km. No leaks on thw downpipe or exhaust. Drive in "bat outa hell" mode +- 1/2 tank fuel = 150km or less.

Hi guys, so got the car flashed with a stage 2 file, and seems to be working. So will see how it goes. Next will be to clean or replace the 02 sensor.
