That is the most stupid post I have ever come across! If it is clearly leaking between the head and block, why would it be the waterpump?? And if it leaks between head and block then it is most likely blown!

You'll need just a proper size spanner to fix this. Reach in there and replace the mechanic.

Speaking as a trade tested mechanic, I don't blame bad mechanics for bad work. I blame the oke who pays for bad work.

Typical story

Car comes in, check the problem. Give the customer an estimate and it goes like this, and I quote " ag no man that's too expensive, can't you do something about the price? I really don't have the money for this now." I reply " This is the best I can do if you want the job done properly," now cos I need the money I say this" I can try and temporarily repair the car, BUT there's no guarantee on nothing!!" "Ja sure bru just do it please I need the car"

So the job gets done and I get paid and 2 months later I get a call from another mechanic.....

"Hey bru you worked on this car last, the owner says you effed it up and you must pay for the repair!!" Then an argument follows where I explain where the customer can insert his car and his accusation using mostly four letter words.

The lesson for today is get the job done right the first time even if it costs more and takes longer. Even a bad mechanic can do a good job if the customer has the right attitude toward his vehicle. Don't skimp it costs more in the long run.

If u leave the car to idle for 5min or so and give her some gas and it puffs out blue smoke its valve stem seals.. but like u say only under hard acceleration it could be that its pushing oil into the intake which could possible mean the engine breather or pcv valve is blocked up.. if it were rings it would use oil and puff blue smoke all the time
