Polo 6R Interior Buttons not working

Post by Bird87_ZA »

Last night I tried reinstalling the DRL's that I bought for the polo. With a multimeter I quickly found the ground, indicator and park light wires going into the plug behind the light. So after struggling for a bit it seemed like the car's battery ran dead (completely possible as I was listening to music in the car).

However, once we jumped it (I had to disconnect my sub) nothing worked. When I put on my indicators, nothing happens, the lights on the dash dont even flash. I cant open/close my windows, wipers dont work, rear window demister doesn't work, interior lights don't dim when I start the car, nothing. I have however noticed that when I put on the car's hazards it works

Any idea what it could be? I need to drive down to plett tomorrow and now this happens. :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:

AFAIK IIRC you suppose to put your hazards on before boosting/jump starting a car... so your ecu knows there is an issue and routes the power to what is needed...

albeit I am not 100% sure

Ding ding ding WINNER.

Took it in to VW, was just a fuse. I couldn't find the damn fuse... that's why I was worried.
