These cone paper filters? Must they get replaced at a service like the panel paper filters? Or are they re-useable like K&N or an Injen dry filter?

I picked mine up at a Ford dealer for R270-ish. It may be worthwhile to also custom build a housing for the rainy days (my next DIY plan) coz any water will finish that filter quick quick

I like that its much bigger than then simota cone im using, so it rests better in the box. Did you secure it with anything? I jad 2 long cable ties running over my simota to prevent movement. Im paranoid about it just hanging from the maf.

Currently it's just hanging there from the maf, but it seems quite secure, like you say the size helps with stability. I'm gonna make a mounting bracket from some aluminium strips I have lying around but also need to custom build a box

I dont have the part number but just ask them for a 2013 Focus ST filter. Fits perfectly onto the maf. You will need a 90 deg silicone bend if you keeping the bottom of the airbox in.

I disconnect mine, spray with electrical contact cleaner and then let dry before reconnecting.

I've also been giving this some thought since I've seen a friends st. Most the time I use the atom but occasionally like to use the 90* bend with a filter for that louder dump and for when it rains a lot, will the filter fit on 70 mm ?

And cable tie it to the pipe on the left. You can get a cheap breather filter at Midas.

Nothing will get through that filter....otherwise ford would not have been using it...
