103 octane on ADY motor
A friend of mine has a citi golf with a ADY motor. Would it be safe to use 103 octane fuel in it, he wants to use it mostly for races. Is there any chance of damaging the motor. If anyone has done this before can you please give your opinions

If the motor is not set up for the fuel than there is no use for it.

What do you mean by set up for it? Would you have to tweak the management system to work with the fuel?chucker02 wrote:If the motor is not set up for the fuel than there is no use for it.

Re: 103 octane on ADY motor
What mods, specifically what c/r is he running? Stock/mildly worked motor will work just as well with pump fuel, wild motor with high c/r will require high octane fuel. Are we talking race fuel/avgas or 50/50 Ethanol mix here?

Re: 103 octane on ADY motor
I know very little about modifying cars. We were just chatting and he was thinking of ways to make his cars run faster 1/4 miles. Don't know his compression ratio but I know he has throttles on it and I believe hes running it on a dicktator management system. Think he got 80 something kW on the dyno
