My velocity 1.4 wont start. They say comp box is dead. If i buy new 1.6 will it need to be programmed before it starts my car?

Mobiliser has to be removed... how did they come to the conclusion its dead?

The immobiliser needs to be decoded if you change the ECU. Why do you want to get the 1.6 ECU? With a 1.4 ECU you know the map will be the correct one. Try and find one in a scrapyard and get it decoded, it will work out a lot cheaper than getting a new one from the dealers.Msiko wrote: Hi
