Autostyle Motorshow 2014

Post by Mitch »

I went to the show after skipping it for a few years. Used it as the oppurtunity to use my new DSLR for the first time and get familiar with it. There were some nice cars there, but also lots of rice. Any feedback on the pictures is appreciated, as I will learn from it. These pics were just taken off the SD card.

Thanks. I asked myself the same thing. There were quite a few cars like this. Perhaps to lower the front for shows. The static version of going aired out for shows. Also every second car had the junk from their garage on the roof.

She wasn't there this year. Maybe Autostyle told her she can't enter. Not fair to other Ricer's. Her friend in the awful smoke blowing Fiesta was there though.

There was another CIti with "Wheel gap is a crime sticker on the front arch". Alright coz the tyre was just near the arch. Back wheel had a 3 finger gap :fear:

I saw that was like WTAFF  When air ride first started being used on cars, there was a whole debate about presenting your car as it rolls on the road, coils vs air, etc. Removing springs and putting wheels with no tyres reminds me of this debate, I have grown to love air but I see little point in this new craze...

I have never seen this type of thing at any other shows anywhere else except in SA.

I was starting to think the SA "scene" as such was starting to improve when I saw all the polo's etc rolling around super low, then I was told they removing springs etc and I gave up.

I gave up a long time ago but Mnce convinced me to stop being an old ****, so I may go to a local show or two next year, if for nothing else to catch up with friends, have a beer, some hubbly and point and laugh....
