Dubfest Cape Town 2014

Post by PoloGirl »

I don't want to say too much. But I will say that I enjoyed the event with the Cape Polo Crew. The CPC won 2nd place in group display, very honoured to have been a part of it. Also got some individual awards in the group.

There was alot of rice and some nice.
Will let the pictures speak for themselves.

Seems like I didn't miss much, a day better spent on the beach with my kids.
I did however see 2 nice MK1 Jetta's on the way to Yakuza's on Saturday morning

For year 1 they did good. Think it was just under 700 vw's there. There is lots they can improve on, but thats how you learn. One thing that really put me off was when they said that if you leave you can't come back in. Probably more the way they said it.

The cars, there was nothing that really stood out for me except that super clean Jetta 2.

Nice MK1's, couple of clean MK4's very few old cars, O and obviously the Polos. Other than that there was tons of Citi golfs.

I will go again next year to see if there is any improvements

Funny you say that because I noticed this at the show too. Even took a pic of it.
IMO it was a waste of R100 bucks (partner and I) to see 600 citi golfs. I think when I was there at about 12pm and there wasnt even 1 Mk7. The only G6 I saw was the Cape Stance one.

There were 2 or 3 great cars. But it was 2 or 3 out of 700.
Maybe my expectations were too high.

What's with the heels on the bonnets?

Is it just to state the car is owned by a female or is there more to it?

Glad I went home after shift instead of visiting the dubfest. Friends of mine went and complained as well. There was a girl only Citi golf crew called 'mk1 Dub chix', the heels probably belonged to one of those 'Cinderellas'
