Polishing my tips is very satisfying but I have a question. Is it really worth the extra time to polish the inside? How often will I have to clean?

Re: Polishing Tips
I can't see pics at work, so will just say this...
Some metal polishes, like Meguiars NXT All Metal Polish, actually leave behind a really good layer of protection. Therefore, by polishing them regularly, not only are you removing carbon build up and other muck, but you are constantly protecting the tips and making them easier to clean.
How often you need to do it is dependent on a host of variables.... but in all honesty, it is going to be much quicker to say give them a quick polish 4 times a year, than it will be to do it a one off clean up every 4 years.... on tips that are well maintained it shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes to give them a quick clean up and re-protect, so perhaps monthly would be overkill, but somewhere between that an quarterly would work....
The more often you do it, the easier it will be each time, but don't do it so often you get gatvol of doing it and decide to stop doing it all together....
